Pyramid and Role-Based Access Control

In this technical presentation from the 2020 Plone Conference, Jesse, Alec and Sally compare and contrast two applications with complex access control requirements built on the Pyramid web framework.

Ariadne Labs needed a system for managing donations of digital subscriptions to a decision support tool for medical practitioners. The Washington Trails Association needed a system for managing trail maintenance work parties. For different reasons, we chose Pyramid as the implementation platform for both systems. We describe our implementation of the complex access control features required by both.
