Why JazKit
Unify your data, inform your strategy.
NGOs need a way to track activities and monitor the effectiveness of their campaigns and fundraising efforts. This requires advanced tools that can manage many data streams and present them to decision-makers in a visually intelligent way. With timely feedback and reporting, NGOs can avoid making uninformed, costly decisions.
The Problem
Non-profit organizations and NGOs face many challenges when it comes to utilizing technology to further their mission. They usually have little or no dedicated IT staff, limited budget for IT expenditures and very few affordable solutions that address their diverse needs.
In the absence of an integrated solution, what often evolves in its place is a collection of disparate data points and an overwhelming array of data sources that must be repeatedly consolidated in order to get a full overview of the organization’s activities. For example, there could be one database for all people who have signed up for the mailing list, another for people who have donated, another for anyone who has signed up for an event, and yet another for those who have made contact through the website. In this situation, it is nearly impossible to see at a glance who are the most active contributors, or which regions of the country have the most supporters.
To answer these questions, someone must manually force the data into a unified view. Many person hours are spent tasking staff to move data around from one database to another - time that could have been better spent directly advancing the organization’s mission.
Even more costly is the fact that when data are dispersed, decision-makers don’t have critical information when they need it. They are unable to make informed decisions about where to spend their funds and where to focus their efforts, which in the end costs the organization a lot more than just time and money.
The Solution
A centralized data collection point, or data hub, is the solution to this problem. All information about the organization’s activities is captured in the data hub, and an integrated set of tools talks to the hub via APIs. Data are synchronized in real-time, without requiring tedious and often error-prone manual effort.
JazKit provides all this - the data hub and the integrated tools - through a set of best-of-breed hosted applications that allow NGOs to manage and analyze their website, donations, email campaigns, events, and members and supporters.
